What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Cobb county’s leading rusher
Almost 1800 yard season first year of varsity football

Owens led Cobb County in rushing and ended up with 1700 all-purpose yards in 2019. He is a bowling ball of a back and has a strong stiff arm that he uses quite often. there is no lack of shear power from the back, and he plays with a good bit of urgency getting up field not looking to cut too much. He is a north south runner. Definitely would like to see more forward lean with his running, when he gets into the open field especially. Owens always seems to fall forward. He has good patience reading his blocks. He made All-County for a reason, and his running vision and ability to pick through the first level of the defense is a major reason. Even against some of the top programs in the state Owens made plays. He could definitely get better exploding out his cuts though, and just working more on keeping pad level low, because when he does, there are plays where he just pops a defender with a big hit.
