First team all area as a sophomore. Second team all area as a junior with close to a hundred tackles.
Rodriguez has natural size that cannot be taught and his wide body is hard is great stopping up the middle or playing offensive guard. He has improved his ability to get off blocks and does a good job of staying in his gap at DT. He has improved his quickness a little from a year ago and shown a solid progression the last two seasons. Rodriguez is a high motor athlete and will pursue the ball all the way down field. Still needs to improve his flexibility, moves around a little tight in the hamstrings. His bench press is ranked pretty high for 2018 lineman. His near 100 tackles as a junior is extremely impressive and proves how strong his work ethic is. He’s also a good run blocker, and has been paving the way for one of the state’s top rushers. His senior offensive line film looks better than his defensive too.
