Hard working, reliable, and willing to do anything to help the team out. 2017 year played 9 games had 16 solo tackles and 18 assists
Shafer-Fries is lightening quick to the ball and utilizes his hands extremely well. He does a great job of playing on the edge, anticipating the play and making a tackle. He’s an OLB at the next level, so adapting to being in pass coverage might take some adjustment, so playing a 3-4 would be suit his play. He does show good agility, and his shuttle time just doesn’t appear to do him a service. He’s a patient player, sits on the read option and reacts. The senior is a good all-around defensive player, he can certainly get on specials teams for a number colleges early even.
