Koneman is a big target with a background in basketball and just watching film you see that his long athletic frame gives him a distinct advantage over most DB’s. Koneman tracks the football fairly well but would like to see him use his body more and box out the defensive back so to speak. No doubt about it though, the 2018 receiver has great ball skills and would imagine that he will only continue to hone that skill in the coming years. At the next level he will most likely play tight end, so we would like to see more film of him blocking than his current JR film. Regardless, Koneman should be able to fillout his frame over the next few years and end up being around 230-240 lbs, so I’m sure FCS programs will both be very interested in the high-upside downfield target.
