Giles is an astute ball player, he patiently watches the play and does a good job of filling the hole. The 2020 prospect keeps his eyes surveying the field, and he does a nice job of taking pursuit angles from the backside. He’s a natural at reading the play, and gets a pretty good jump at the snap even. Giles is a WILL at the next level, which means he’ll need more coverage situations on film. He’s got pretty legit speed chasing down ball carriers in the flat and getting 2 punts blocked during the year. Wanted to see him drive his legs more thru the tackle this year, and film shows a nice improvement in that category for sure. Has potential in pass coverage, he rotates his hips over naturally but needs to improve his depth and getting his head around on the football. Playing a lot more in space his senior year, and has continued to show a high football IQ and determination to be around the ball. Making more plays in pass coverage, but Giles best skill stands in run support and reading the mesh correctly more times than not. Several huge tackles his senior year, Giles definitely added are more explosive element to his game.
