Peevy came onto the scene as a sophomore impressing everyone at the Corky Kell events and he really didn’t stop the excellent play since then. He’s a quick decision maker, always on his toes and can recognized a matchup quicker than most HS QB’s. Peevy has good release point and the arm strength to get the ball outside with velocity on deep outs. His arm strength should only continue to come along, and at 6’3″ and 205 lbs there is a ton of promise for him to become an FBS quarterback. Peevy is still honing his skill set, but already shows good footwork. He bounces out of the pocket and make pretty tough throws on the run too. Not going to hurt a team running the football, but can pick up yardage when need be. He does a great job of looking off defenders and too many times he opened up the defensive secondary by using his eyes. Really like the 2020 QB’s game, he has really good timing, and if his arm strength continues to improve then he should get heavy FBS interest. You have to be impressed with how he finished off his junior year leading his team to the semifinals in the largest classification in Georgia. He had over 2500 yards passing with a 66% completion and 27 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions – Peevy had one of the best seasons in GA at QB in 2018. He should be set up to put up massive numbers next fall if he continues to progress at this rate.
