Rickers has moved around in his time at Pope HS. He was part of a QB controversy the last few years, and he showcased his high-character attitude by moving around at various positions. This season he was the starting QB. The 2018 athlete has lowered his 40 time from 4.8 to 4.62 which is very impressive. He is an excellent student. Rickers was a very physical player last season for Pope, making some pretty massive hits. Senior year Rickers has been hitting his big time wide receiver target for long catches this season. Against Cambridge he had a career game. He throws a pretty nice ball, keeps it on a spiral even on the run. Shows a nice touch on the outside and near the redzone. Rickers should certainly attract the interest of smaller schools. He plays tough and runs the ball hard in between the tackles.
