Taylor has solid athleticism and decent size at 6’2″. You can see his basketball background with his ability to change direction in coverage, which gives him solid man skills. He has very reactive feet. His sophomore year at our combine he had a 4.18 shuttle time and also a 30″ vertical, so was a promising athlete going into his junior year. Does a nice job of reading the receiver and shadowing their route. His back pedal needs some extra work. Taylor does a good job of breaking up passes down the middle using his 6’2″ frame to break up passes. Taylor has above average acceleration to the football and closes decently with solid tackles. Speaking of his attempts, Taylor does a consistent job striking low with good pursuit of the ball carrier, but at times he drops his head and makes himself vulnerable. Overall, I like the athleticism of Taylor, he is definitely D1 caliber. Overall, Taylor has gained about 20 lbs in the last year, he is filling out nicely, and has the athletic upside to play at the FBS level.
