Byrd is a quality OL who is still growing into his body, so he is not finishing at too high of a clip, but he shows very good fundamentals and flexibility while blocking. I’m really impressed with how Byrd stays engaged with his block. He’s good getting out to the perimeter, and has above average athleticism. He played a tough schedule, and has legit film against tough competition. I really like Byrd’s game, if he can gain another 20-30 lbs in the next year, I think it can really bolster D1 colleges’ attention. He does a great job of setting up his block with his footwork and gets really good leverage too. There is no way Byrd doesn’t attract FCS schools bare minimum.
