Perry’s older brother ended up at Army a few years back, and that same athleticism seems to be in his blood line. He is quick to step up to passes out in the flat. He does a good job of hitting the ball carrier in vulnerable catch areas to force a drop. I like Perry’s aggressive play, but like his brother we would like to see him gain more weight his JR-SR year. Perry looks to have improve a good bit his senior year, and we are seeing much more aggression playing the football up top. His athleticism has certainly improved, and you see stick stride for stride with the receiver, then the quick-twitch to time his jump and deflect the pass. Perry had a really good senior year at Cherokee – had to have double digit pass breakups.
