What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

My ability play at a high speed, quickness and IQ of game as a CB and WR.

McDonald is a player who has stood out going back to his freshman year when his passion and dedication to his craft were obvious even at that time. The 2025 cornerback plays with a lot of confidence, gets right in the face of the receiver on press coverage, and plays with excellent instincts. It’s really all in the eyes for McDonald; that allows him to break off receivers and make great reads that QB’s would not anticipate. McDonald plays with physical hands getting off blocks and you have to like the urgency he shows getting downhill on plays out to the flats. The Richmond Hill athlete got some additional run at receiver as a junior, and you can expect his role to certainly increase with the graduation of the school’s top offensive playmaker in Bliss. McDonald’s ball skills are solid, and his timing to break up a pass consistently impresses. He meets the ball at the apex and has a great vertical. We like his overall speed and top-end acceleration to the ball. McDonald has a light backpedal, sinks his hips well, and shows solid rotation. Granted, getting quicker in the hips is an area he can continue to improve. He shows good versatility playing both man and zone coverage on top of being a cover 1 safety occasionally. McDonald is a solid tackler in space, but he needs to continue to shore up his pursuit angles as we have to adjust to the speed of the college game. The 2025 prospect should attract D1 interest throughout his recruitment. His confidence and passion for the game are hard to match and great qualities that coaches should love.
