What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

extremely versatile

Jacob has run 100m times of around 10.6 this spring and posted a broad jump of 10’4″ and vertical at 43″. That’s some insane explosiveness, and honestly, you won’t find many athletes in the entire state of Georgia with this kind of quick-twitch movement that Jacobs shows. Now on the football field, he is primarily a nickleback playing near or around the LOS but showing the capabilities to get out in man coverage and stick with a receiver or tight end. Jacobs closes on the ball carrier in a blink, settling into his tackles with light feet and good patience. Jacobs does a solid job of reading the play, and getting downhill to make a tackle. Good energy and pursuit after the ball carrier. Needs to get more comfortable in zone coverage, and continue to work on dropping back with a smoother backpedal. He will press up on the receiver, and is physical, throwing his opponent off their release, resulting in a few turnovers. Overall, Jacobs has some insane upside and if he can continue to work on his coverage skills, and become quicker flipping over his hips, then he could be a huge steal in this class considering his athleticism. As of now, he’s one of the more explosive nickelback you can find in the state of Georgia. That’s pretty good.
