Mason has good size and plays at wide receiver and cornerback for his HS – over the last few years we have debated over where he fits best at the next level. Senior year though he really took a turn at receiver and had almost 1400 yards receiving and one of the state leaders in yards. He looks a step faster than in years past, but more so his route running is more crisp. The senior’s ball skills have always been good, but we are seeing him make more aerial adjustments. Mason hands look a lot stronger, and he’s consistently making tough catches away from his body. Been watching Mason now 3 years, and one consistent part to his game during his varsity career is he always makes plays, even as a sophomore he stood out among his peers. Give him a quality QB, and he had a stellar year. I think that quality will translate over in college.
