Deans is one of the more unique recruits in the lower classifications with his production on film. He played a lot of TE last year, and doesn’t look too bad in the open field running for an athlete that is 250 lbs. He was also a DL, where his quickness and speed allows for him to make a good bit of backside tackles. He projects favorable as a DT at the next level, and considering his coordination as a receiver, I think he will only continue to improve in the trenches. Deans is raw in the weight room. His lifts are poor considering his size, but just a little more time, and you can see the obvious potential too. Deans needs work on his tackling, he uses his arms too much, and some of his attempts he ends up dragging the ball carrier down more than making a textbook tackle.
