Waldrop has really emerged his senior year to be a very reliable pass catcher with the penchant of making big plays late in the game. He has very good ball skills showing excellent timing with his jump. Very coordinated athlete, does a nice job of catching the football away from his body. Effortless running stride but needs to improve change of direction more for a player that primarily is in the slot. Has a lot of flexibility at the next level to multiple receiver spots. Waldrop needs more time in the weight room, and only at 175 lbs. you see a frame that can really pack on weight to be over 200 lbs. after some time in college. It’s easy to see the 2020 prospect growing into his role, he could even be an h-back depending on how he fills out, but right now colleges should more intrigued by his height and evident aerial abilities playing the pass in the redzone. If he continues to make more plays, it’s going to be hard for D1 & D2 programs to ignore a 6’3″ athlete like Waldrop.
