#27 FREE SAFETY

HT: 6’2″
WT: 180
GPA: 3.9
Class: 2022

Stephenson is also a baseball player, and perhaps that is more of a focus, but the 2022 DB is certainly a quality prospect and underrated athlete. If he was playing more in the local Atlanta area he would have D1 schools very interested. Stephenson is a good looking athlete with a well put together frame to play safety at the next level. He has quick hands, and good at doing last-second rakes thru the receiver’s hands. Stephenson is a pretty physical tackler, but doesn’t square up well on the ball carrier. At 6’2″ he should easily get over 200 lbs. Stephenson has pretty fluid hips, and though he is not a natural at CB he does a pretty good job of flipping his hips and sticking with the receiver. Clean up his tackling form and get Stephenson in the weight room and you honestly have one of the bigger sleeper safeties in the state of Georgia. He does a nice job of tracking the ball carrier from across the field and shows excellent acceleration closing on the ball carrier. I like Stephenson’s upside a lot more than a lot would expect. He has a great profile, would assume he has a good power clean and solid speed to play D1 FS. Cannot say it enough, Stephenson should put on good weight at the college level.
