Kirksey showed us a lot last season, and put together one of the strongest years of any of the 2019 quarterbacks in the state of Georgia. He made some big throws this year for Walton and showed a ton of poise in the pocket. Over the last year he has grown an inch and gained nearly 20 pounds and we see a drastic improvement in athletic ability. He does a great job of reading the defense and picking a part a zone. He is quick with his reads and decision making. Does a nice job setting his feet and firing off passes that hit the receiver in stride. Where he impressed the most was in the running game, where he was utilized a lot. He runs the read option well, and does a nice job holding the mesh and selling his fakes. Kirksey is the total package at QB and we think he’ll be an FBS recruit. His new 34″ vertical shows the potential explosiveness that the 2019 recruit displays.
