Willingness to do the work on and off the field and play the game physical. High football IQ along with making my grades in the classroom.
Jones is a really smart player, who quickly reacts to the play, and gets down field. He is a textbook tackler, meeting the ball carrier square in the numbers, then exploding through with his lower body to drive them back. Jones is a good all-around athlete for Rabun County. He does not have burning speed, but is able make big plays as a receiver regardless. He shows really good balance going through contact and a natural forward lean in his running stride. At the next level he is a safety, no doubt, and if he packs on the weight, he might be better suited closer to the line of scrimmage as a SS or nickle. His junior season he is making more explosive plays, returning punts and interceptions for TD’s. Another stat we like is that he is halfway from last season’s tackle total after just 3 games. Jones Rabun Co. squad has been destroying their opponents thus far, and Jones is been a top playmaker. Jones consistently finds himself at the right place and time on the field, which vindicates his football IQ out on the field.
