What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Ball skills and can play man to man and zone

Collins is a plus athlete with enticing length, and with the amount of talent that has come out of Newton lately, it really didn’t take too long for FBS programs to jump on and offer. It’s hard to ignore his 10’1″ broad jump that he reports on film, and you see the explosiveness of the Newton CB stick step with step with the receiver – several being FBS commits at the time. Collins rotates his hips over very quickly. Very light feet and does a nice job of closing on the receiver. Pretty good at playing press coverage despite being on the lighter end. Not a huge sample size as a tackler, but Collins seems to do a solid job out in the flat cleaning up tackles, but it’s easy to imagine that being a weaker area for the 2022 recruit – at least until he adds more weight. Collins shows legit speed stick with receivers on deep passes, and does a nice job of using his hands to guide the receiver off his route. He is well trained, has a longer frame and some good qualities that should really attract D1 programs throughout his recruitment.
