Finally some film pops up for the 2020 OG recruit, and against a pretty solid DL at Central too. Like so many guys his size, learning to his overall body control is one of the biggest areas to improve, which of course starts at the core. Doughty is a huge young man, he’s already way over 300 lbs and can just destroy his opponent, but he doesn’t have the desire most of the time. We need to see more finishing, more pancakes, standing up your opponent is not good enough when the are only 200 lbs. The 2020 OG needs get more flexible in the hamstrings, he needs to focus on flattening his back when blocking more too. There is good upside with Doughty, and definitely a recruit to check back with in spring practice.
