What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I have a goal of being a college athlete as well as a college graduate. I will represent whatever college I attend well on and off the field. Growing up I always wanted to play on Saturdays under the lights and so I push my self to put effort into anything I do on and off the field.
Howard has gym rat like weight lifting numbers and shows the same work ethic out there on the field. He plugs the whole and takes on blocks quickly but needs to work on getting off of them quicker. Howard is a solid tackler and does a good job of lining up his pursuit angles. Howard went into the starter role last fall for Tift County looking to make his fair share of big hits. He is built like a rock, fills the hole and stops the running back like a brick wall. Howard keeps working and hustling after the ball carrier. His tackling seems to be greatly improved, and when he makes contact that the offensive player goes down on contact. Howard needs to continue to work on his agility this offseason, would like to see him get out to the side line faster and make more plays in pass coverage. Howard is a high quality run-stopping linebacker.
