DeFilippis has the athletic profile to play D1 football. At 6’5″ and 280 lbs. he has the frame to add very good muscle over the next few offseason before he gets into college. Pass blocking is better than run blocking honestly. He has excellent length, and can just keep the DE at bay where he simply cannot reach him. Still needs to work on quickening his kick-step and showing more urgency. He should really make a nice jump this year as long as he works on core strength. He’s gained another 15 lbs over the last 6 months. Need to make a bigger jump as a run blocker, get more flexible in the hips and just being stronger at the point of attack. Benedictine offense has evolved over the years, and he definitely fits the more open spread offense at LT, and that’s true too in college.
