What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Willing to work harder then the man next to me

Harper ended up rushing for 1500 yards his junior year and was named on a few All-State teams. Shaw was bouncing around our top 10 all last year, which was a first for our rankings. Harper definitely has a nice quick burst right when he gets the football. What I like more than anything is how he sets up his blocks, sometimes he can get caught over juking and doing too much, but it comes with the territory of being a creative runner, which he definitely is. Harper has a good feel for the open field and just slides by tackles with nice subtle moves. Could run with a little more forward lean, and overall his top end speed could definitely improve. He’s definitely a good all-purpose back. Doesn’t go down easy and just creates on the fly. If he can get his speed up a notch here then colleges could really end being all over him. Harper reminds of last year’s Bi-City talent at Carver-Columbus, and he is set for another 1500 yards season for sure. His elusive running nature in combination with some added gains in the weight room could mean an even bigger season upcoming. Would like to see more broken tackles and for Harper to continue to evolve as a receiver. Definitely love hos he fights for extra yardage, but needs to be carefully swinging the ball forward for that extra yard in the middle of the field.
