Patrick has quick hips and changes directions well. He was not a defensive back on our radar going into the year, but 2019 film suggest that was a mistake. Patrick has a nice spring step to his game and breaks on the football very well. Tackling is okay, definitely physical but lacking a little in form. Still, he gets low and plays with a lot of intensity. Patrick does a very good job of getting his hands on the football and disrupting the pass, even diving catches Patrick finds a way to get into the receivers hands. His impressive acceleration is also on display with the several kicks he blocked on the year. Slide feet pretty well in coverage, but has a tendency to hop. Patrick has the versatility to play on either side of the field boundary or field.
