Boyd is just starting to garner more college interest. Heard County had a down year and the 2021 back has gone under the radar this offseason for that reason. He is a powerful young athlete with a power clean around 320 lbs. Boyd has one-cut running style with a very straight-ahead approach. He has a solid running stride but would like to see more forward lean with his pads. Needs to work more on lateral quickness too. He makes good cutbacks, but feet need to get faster. Boyd sees cutback angles better than most, and he does a pretty good job of fighting for extra yards and is tough to bring down from behind.
