What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I have dreamed about playing college football since I played on my first rec football team. I am very dedicated to my teammates and really buy-in to what we are trying to accomplish. I am respectful of my coaches and I try to keep a good attitude and learn from my mistakes. I am a Christian and give all the glory to God for my opportunity to play this game.
Butts seems like a good all-around student-athlete, but he did not get a lot of reps last season, and with out that college coaches cannot evaluate well enough. That’s not the case anymore this season, and we are seeing the big man as a full time raod grader out there on the field. He is generating a lot more power with his lower body, keeping his back flatter while engaged. We are certainly encouraged by Butt’s improvements, he appears to have really worked on his body in the last year, especially core strength. He has a lot of upside on his size alone, and when you couple that with his great grades then we could see local colleges jumping on board.
