Oliver Offered by Georgia Tech

Tobias Oliver, our predicted biggest sleeper in the state of Georgia prior to the season, finally received his first Power 5 offer today when Georgia Tech became the sixth school to issue the opportunity to play football at the next level.

The 2017 recruit took to Twitter to make his announcement:

His offer comes on the heels of his visit to Georgia Tech over the weekend where the senior from Northside-Warner Robins got see what college life is like at the Atlanta school. Oliver was offered by another spread option offense last week in Army, whose coach Jeff Monken is a former assistant under Georgia Tech’s Paul Johnson.

The Northside signal-caller has been overlooked by a lot of Power 5 schools over the last few years despite his successful high school career. As a sophomore, he led his squad to a victory in the state title game where he had a key 40-yard touchdown run that iced the game.

One thing that cannot be determined by any stat or metric is Oliver’s heart out there on the field. The senior is tough as nails, which could be a perfect fit in Georgia Tech’s spread option offense.

We shall see what the Northside star does next and if a commitment could be coming soon. Stay tuned to @RecruitGeorgia to hear the latest on Oliver and the rest of the outstanding athletes in the Peach State.
