Hillgrove’s Jaiden Moore is on a mission this season. After a junior campaign where he rushed for 1407 yards, averaged 9.2 yards per carry, and scored 13 touchdowns, the 2027 back has bigger plans this fall.
In Week 1, Moore rushed for 106 yards on 9 carries in a 27-21 win over Collins Hill, a program that consistently fielded some of the toughest defenses in Georgia. Moore took a handoff from the 18-yard line, sprinted between the tackles, making a cut in the hole, and was gone – 82-yards in the blink of an eye.
On Sunday night, Moore’s electric run was named one of the top 10 plays of the week; then 24 hours later, he was voted the #2 play in the state.
“The start of my senior year is exciting and motivating. I’ve been looking forward to this season for a long time, and I’m just trying to enjoy every moment while helping my team win,” Moore said.
The senior plays in the state’s highest classification, getting reps against some of the toughest competition in the Southeast, so putting up nearly 10 yards per carry as a junior shows his immense big-play ability.
“Since last season, I feel like I’ve improved the most with my patience, vision, and understanding of the game. I’ve gotten better at letting plays develop instead of rushing things, and I feel more confident making decisions with the ball in my hands,” he said.
On the recruiting front, Moore has been hearing from a handful of D1 programs.
“Right now, I’m hearing from Middle Tennessee, Gardner-Webb, and a few other schools. I’m continuing to build relationships with coaches and keeping my options open.” He continued to talk about college visits, “I don’t have anything completely set in stone for the fall yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to getting back on some campuses and continuing the recruiting process.”
The months leading up to the 2026 season have been a launching pad for the senior back. Now that the season is underway, Moore is set to explode, but at the same time, he is keeping his goals in check.
“My goals for my senior year are to have a successful season with my team, make a deep playoff run, stay healthy, and continue proving that I can play at the next level,” Moore said.
