Mill Creek’s Beasley Goes Beast Mode

Among the top performers of Week 3 was Mill Creek SR running back Jayde Beasley. The 2026 athlete has exploded onto the scene as a new starter for Mill Creek and taken to the role quickly with 492 rushing yards, 101 receiving, and 5 touchdowns.

Chief among his achievements was last week’s win 45-29 against Archer, where Beasley rushed for 280 yards on 23 rushes and 3 touchdowns. He was voted Player of the Week on the website earlier this week and was able to talk about the season so far.

“I think my Senior season started off as well as I expected. I have nothing but mad respect and confidence in my offensive line.” Beasley continued, “My goal is just to be the best player I can be on game nights. Be a leader on and off the field; just enjoy my senior season, and create memorable moments.”

As mentioned earlier, Beasley has essentially come out of nowhere to be one of the leading rushers in 6A. After overcoming an unfortunate off-field injury in 2023, plus several SR back ahead in 2024, the opportunity was wide open now in 2025.

“This is my first year playing varsity football while fully healthy. I broke my foot and ankle in a golf cart accident during the summer of 2023, which led to two surgeries and caused me to miss my entire sophomore season. During my junior season, I wasn’t at 100% health yet, but I still played a bit on special teams. My greatest improvement has been my overall health, both mentally and physically,” Beasley said.

The early-season film pops. Beasley slips by defenders, throwing in jukes moves that leave him off balance and sliding. His ability to isolate and break down defenders already led to some highlight reel caliber plays, and should have the attention of FBS programs.

“Right now, Syracuse is the only school showing interest. I have no visits planned right now.”

There is little doubt in our mind that more colleges will be contacting the Mill Creek senior. Beasley has been reliably one of the best rushers in 6A, and his film backs it up.

“My dad, who is a former NFL player, gave me some advice when I was playing youth football that has been embedded in my head to this very day. He said a running back is always responsible for one guy. To be a great back, you need to learn how to pass protect that one guy. Also, to be a great back, you are responsible for making that first ‘one’ guy miss. I know how to make that first guy miss, so that’s what I think separates me from the rest. I’m still working on the pass protection,” Beasley said.

At around 5’10” and 185 lbs., Beasley has an impressive 35.6 vertical jump, and showcases good weight lifting numbers with a 455 squat and 295 bench press. Couple that with his natural elusive instincts, and honestly, some of the best forward lean of any back in his class, the 2026 runner should be seeing his recruitment heat up short, so be sure to follow @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter/X to hear the latest on Beasley and athletes everywhere in Georgia.
