Littlejohn Brings Big Arm to FAU

Lane Kiffin plucks a gem in the state of Georgia and gets one of the top 2018 quarterbacks in Cordel Littlejohn from Roswell high school. The senior recruit took to Twitter to make his commitment official to the masses.

This is a big commit for Florida Atlantic to land a recruit like Littlejohn, who was at one point committed to Illinois back in August. The senior is one of the top 10 quarterbacks in the state, and brings a lot to the table in terms of athletic upside. He has a lot of varsity experience starting both in the state of North Carolina, and the highest classification in the state of Georgia over at Roswell high school his senior year.

Littlejohn has outstanding length at 6’4″ and continued to make good progress as a passer senior year. Where he made the most strides was his ability to break off the long play with his legs, and ran with more authority in-between the tackles. Littlejohn showed his 4.3 shuttle quickness getting up field coming out of the mesh on the read-option. He also continued progress with his footwork in the pocket, and does an excellent job of keeping his eyes up field, and continuing survey his options.

The senior showed continual improvement week-to-week in the state of Georgia, against arguably some of the best talent in the country. Littlejohn’s powerful arm is a weapon and can stretch the field with the flick of his wrist. His marked improvement as a runner adds a compelling element to his game. Power 5 colleges will regret passing on Littlejohn  and expect the athletic dual-threat to continue to progress under Kiffin, and really thrive under his offensive scheme at the next level.
