Doe-Davis Does It All

Finishing the 2025 season 9-3, Effingham County emerged into the top tier of 5A programs, and a major contributor was junior running back Jmere Doe-Davis. The 2027 back averaged 102.3 yards per game, 8.6 yards per carry, and rushed for 1023 yards on the year.

Doe-Davis finished the year strong with a season-high 209-yard rushing game in the first round of the playoffs against Clarke Central, where his team just barely lost 33-34. Doe-Davis impressive junior season has seen the momentum carry into the offseason.

“My offseason has been good, and I’m just focusing on training for football. My recruitment has been going great, and no schools stand out right now,” Doe-Davis said.

The 5’9″, 170 lbs. back earned an offer from Charlotte a few weeks back on March 17th, and has plans to visit the school during the spring.

Doe-Davis is an explosive playmaker with the ball in his hands, consistently grabbing big chunks of yardage. With a career average of 8.2 yards per carry and 17.4 yards per reception, the 2027 back can find a seam and has the speed to burn defenders.

The last few seasons, he has been an explosive playmaker for Effingham County, totaling over 2030 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground. For his final high school season, Doe-Davis said that his goals are to gain 1300 yards on the ground and 10 touchdowns.

With a 3.7 GPA and a strong junior film that shows great acceleration, vision, and toughness between the tackles, we think that Doe-Davis will exceed expectations and become a potential candidate for All-State. The smooth-running back has a lot of time until now and into the fall season, with plenty of recruiting news to unfold, so be sure to follow @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter/X to hear the latest on the dynamic 2027 back and players across the state.
