Creekside’s Offensive Weapon Goes Bam

Damien ‘Bam’ Henderson has been among the most reliable route runners in the state of Georgia over the last few seasons. The senior has exceptional focus, and his attention to detail allows for a player at 5’10” to have outsized production.

Just last week, Bam Henderson was creating another highlight reel. Creekside stormed past DeSoto, Tx in a 70-28 victory where Henderson made one of the receptions of the week. The senior deceptive released by the DB, flaring out to the sideline for a lob towards the back corner of the endzone. With the defender on his back, Henderson shielded him from the football and showed off his reliable mitts, catching the football through contact.

The touchdown was among the best plays of the week, and on Monday, he was voted the #3 play of the week. Exciting plays have become an expectation for the 2026 Sacramento State commit.

“My senior year has started well. I’ve been playing at a high level. We started 3-0, we are a really good offense that spreads the ball,” Henderson said.

So far, he has 197 receiving yards on 13 receptions and 3 touchdowns. A total of 237 all-purpose yards, and several plays on film where he clinically breaks down the defensive coverage. Although his route running is a top skill, Henderson wants to round out his game and has a different kind of priority.

“My goals this season are to improve in blocking, become a better leader on the team, and win the 15th game,” he said.

Where has Henderson improved the most? He quickly injected, “I improved the most this off season with my speed and route running technique with coach Brown over at TSP.”

When talking about his commitment, Henderson said that Sacramento State was the right fit for him because they made him feel at home, and welcomed him with open arms. Playing in the Go-Go Offense under coach Marion befits Henderson’s skill set, and he believes many skills separate him from the rest.

“At the next level, everybody is good, but the game is won in the film room. My mental preparation has to improve to excel at the next level, which will separate the elite athletes from the good athletes,” Henderson said.

Henderson said that he has no visits planned for this football season, so he is definitely locked into the season and Sacramento State. Henderson is going to continue to see a healthy diet of targets in this powerful Creekside offensive attack that no one has slowed down yet.

No doubt, they are the #2 team in 4A; they should be a title contender this year, so that will certainly cast a spotlight across the roster, and we’ll be right on it, so be sure to follow @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter/X, and see top plays plus recruiting news for Henderson and athletes across the state.
