Burress Receives First Offer




CJ Burress visited Ball State over the weekend and took in their annual spring game. The thumping defensive back’s visit went from good to great in the matter of moments when he received his first college offer.

The rising senior had a great season last fall for the Longhorns, receiving All Region and County accolades for his stellar play on the gridiron. He is a smart athlete and reacts to passes quickly using his outstanding acceleration.

Burress is proficient in zone coverage but also capable of manning up on the slot receiver. His on the field intensity is unmatched and has a large impact on the game.

The class of 2017 safety explains what makes him a coveted college prospect: “I play with my head and heart. I’m a very emotional player but I can keep a level head. I can read offenses well and I’m a film guy. I watch everything multiple times and I like to make my own scouting reports.”
