Ball-Hawking CB Myles Hannah Commits to Ball State

Ball State received big news yesterday evening when fleet-footed cornerback Myles Hannah committed to Ball State. The athletic senior for Stephenson High School made his commitment official when he tweeted:

Hannah let Recruit Georgia know about his Ball State offer on May 17th and was extremely excited about it. The athletic cornerback prospect holds eight offers including programs like Fresno State, Tulane, Miami (Ohio), South Florida and Middle Tennessee.

We asked the Class of ’17 recruit what separated the Cardinals from his other offers. “Ball State basically gave me that ‘home’ feeling from the beginning. The small town and the great coaches; I feel like I really connected with them.”

Co5QvraWcAAXsRXGoing through the twists and turns of the recruiting process is not always the smoothest ride. Hannah spoke about ending the process and focusing on his senior season.

“It feels great actually. A lot of stress but it feels good to get it out of the way and focus on helping my team to the (Georgia) Dome for my senior year.”

Hannah is a ball hawk on the field and is returning to a loaded Stephenson defensive backfield filled with FBS talent. His elite acceleration and focus to catch tipped passes makes for game-breaking plays on the gridiron.

He plays safety for Stephenson, but to our staff he looks like a true ball hawk at CB at the next level. His film is very impressive to watch, and do not sleep on his tackling ability; Hannah showcases strong fundamentals in 1 v 1 situations.

Stephenson has been one of the most talented high schools over the last 20 years in the state of Georgia but still has not won a state championship. Hannah is optimistic about changing that this fall.

“For the season, I want to ball out with my teammates and have everyone watching us in the Dome in December.”

Ball State has 13 football commits for the Class of 2017, and Hannah is the first player from the Peach State.
