All Bets on Hilton

Heading into the 2025 season, AB Hilton was our most anticipated 2027 running back to watch out for. While he showed flashes as a sophomore, making several highlight runs, including a play of the week winner, the junior back has found consistency in his role in 2025.

Over the last two weeks, Hilton has run for 400 yards and helped his team to major wins over McIntosh County Academy and Jenkins County – for which he was voted Player of the Week. The junior back has powered his team to an undefeated start, and they looked primed for a strong finish in region play.

“My JR year has been going great so far, a big improvement from my previous two years. The team has really come together. My total stats for the 5 games we played are 86 carries, 744 rushing yards, and 759 all-purpose yards. I also average 8.7 yards a carry with my longest 77 yards; I’ve had 5 straight games with 100 or more yards and 10 touchdowns,” Hilton said.

Hilton has been a force this season, making tight cuts and running explosively behind his 6′ 195 lbs. frame. The JR has P4 size, and last spring he posted a 10.85 100m time, and after a promising sophomore season, that really cemented his potential upside in our eyes. Now, during his junior year, you see a more refined runner with the patience to take advantage of his blocking with his dynamic athleticism.

“I improved most with my vision, cutting, and staying consistent on and off the field,” Hilton confirmed.

Hilton’s work ethic this offseason gave us a lot of confidence that his junior year would be a breakout performance. That characteristic should carry him well into college.

“I’m a hard worker on the field and in the classroom. I also value my mistakes and use them as motivation to improve and to keep pushing,” he said.

On the recruiting front, Hilton earned a few offers right now, and he planned out a few college visits for the future.

“Recruiting is going decent right now. I currently have 2 offers, Sacramento State and Georgia Southern, and I have been to one of Georgia Southern’s games, and I plan on visiting a few more colleges this year, the most prominent is the Virginia Cavaliers.”

Hilton looks like a no-doubt FBS prospect, and it wouldn’t surprise us to see more P4 programs jumping into the picture soon, so be sure to follow @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter/X to hear the latest on Hilton and athletes across the state of Georgia.
