Just last year, GAC’s Chase Crimmins first arrived in the state of Georgia. Everything was new and different, and while he adjusted to life in the Peach State, Crimmins had worked hard, emerging in his junior season as an impressive prospect to watch.
“I moved from Florida last year and had to basically start the recruiting over again,” Crimmins said.
The junior has made some explosive blocks throughout the season, and last week against Pickens County, Crimmins was mauling guys. His impact on the field was undeniable, helping his team to its 3rd 40-point outing of the season, and earning Lineman of the Week honors on the site.
“My Junior year has been going great so far! I’ve really taken a big step forward in my consistency and in doing my job at a higher level. The team has been playing with a lot of energy, and it has been so fun competing each week,” he said
GAC is 7-2 on the year, and playing some impressive football, earning a ranked grade among almost every media outlet in the state, including #10 over here. For one, the offense has been great at controlling the LOS and allowing their offensive skill players to make plays.
Credit to Crimmins, who over the last year has gone from an unknown sophomore to a standout blocking junior.
“The biggest areas I have improved on would have to be my footwork, technique, and physicality. I have really been technically sound this year, as well as having quick and fast feet while being dominant up front,” Crimmins said.
On the recruiting side, the junior provided a quick update.
“Recruiting has been going well. I’ve talked to lots of coaches and have been building new relationships each week. I currently have not taken any visits, but I definitely plan to as the season goes on and go to camps after the season,” he said.
Crimmins has the tools and size to be a solid D1 caliber blocker at the next level. He will have some work to do this upcoming offseason as he continues to fill out his frame and skill level, but colleges will find a lot to like. And while his physical tools impress, the 2027 lineman believes there is more to it.
“What separates me from my class is my mindset as well as my football IQ. I am always in the weight room, on the field, and in the books. I can see and make plays that others just can’t. I also know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So that drives me every play,” he said.
GAC faces off against Chestatee tonight and then will be driving into the playoffs in a good position to make a Private playoff push, and they will need their top blockers, like Crimmins, to create big holes. This 2025 season seems like a year where GAC could surprise everyone, so be sure to follow @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter/X to hear the latest on Crimmins and players across the state of Georgia.
