What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
What makes me stand out the most is my energy on the field and off the field. I keep everyone in a good mood and motivate them to work hard, stay in class and keep your grades up.
One of the most exciting prospects that should be on your summer recruiting board is the 6’4″ athlete Rickey Dorn. The long Maynard Jackson athlete has a P5 profile with a lot of potential as a vertical threat. He shows good burst coming out of his breaks and is a smooth runner into the open field. Dorn has long arms and a frame to continue to add weight and become a dominating possession receiver. Dorn needs to get better in the open field; we would rather just see him get vertical with his running and try incorporating a stiff arm, which would take advantage of his length a good bit. Dorn will be around 225 lbs. at the next level, and if he can continue to improve his ball skills, he could be a solid redzone target. There is a lot to work with either way and confident wide receiver coaches are going to be enticed. As of now, Dorn holds a handful of offers from D1 programs and seems to be in a holding pattern for Power programs. Becoming more physical, and working on his route running especially in the short to intermediate areas will be a great development going into his senior year. Dorn has all of the tools college programs want and a prospect to watch closely this fall.
