Taylor is a high-upside athlete who came into HS with a lot of hype, but had to overcome a few injuries in the early part. The 2022 DB prospect plays with a lot of physicality using hands to get off blocks and hit the ball carrier with impact. He has a nice frame to play either safety spot at the next level. Good hip swivel and like his acceleration. Gets downhill and attacks the run play. Doesn’t lose much speed going into a tackle, but could strike lower. Either way, when Taylor makes contact the ball carrier goes down quickly. He’s impressed at a few camps this offseason. The 2022 recruit has played really over the years. QB, RB, WR, FS and CB. Pursuit angles need to be better, seems to come in too hot on a tackle, needs get choppy with his feet and settle into a tackle. Taylor is explosive, though, and currently one of the more intriguing athletes at the FS spot that not a lot of schools are looking at. He is set for a big senior year, and should jump up recruiting boards fast.
