Recruiting Recap 7/27

Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! This weekend from a cursory look didn’t have much action, but we’ll comb through all our information outlets just to be sure.

Down below you will find new offers, commitments, potentially a player heating up and a our sleeper of the day too. Lately, we’ve added a quick thought on all commitments, so hopefully you guys have liked that.

I want to thank everyone who continues to visit the site. There is so much up in the air, but we plan on continuing this feature for the foreseeable future, so please continue to keep coming back, and we’ll continue to keep up with the recaps.

Colleges’ interested in our premium databases please contact recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com, and we also are posting new profiles and stories every day, so keep coming back. – David

Commitments

Logan Crossfield
2021 Allatoona
Stetson

Scoop: Crossfield didn’t get a ton of varsity exp on the state runner-ups, but shows an impressive athletic profile to be a good college defensive back. Stetson is hedging their bets that Crossfield is set for a nice senior, which we share the same sentiments.

Jonathan Martin
2021 Collins Hill
UMASS

Scoop: Martin’s almost unrealized potential at DT surprised us to some extent here. He’s a load at 6’5″ and 300 lbs., and showed some legit flashes last fall, getting better later in the year even. We think he was set for a strong spring offer sheet, but that obviously was cancelled. The Minutemen get themselves a DT with some huge upside here.

Ryan Attaway
2020 Blessed Trinity
Davidson

Scoop: Attaway was a big-time defender for Blessed Trinity’s state title run last year. The bone-crushing linebacker meets the ball carrier in the gaps with authority. He will be enrolling at Davidson and be a part of their class of 2021.

Alex Carman
2021 Peachtree Ridge
Davidson

Scoop: Carman has been starting at Peachtree Ridge since his freshman year. He is a fundamentally strong center with a ton of experience against some of the more talented defenders in the state. Carman is an elite student-athlete, exactly the type of player Davidson is looking for in a student athlete.

Sleeper of the Day

Price Campbell
2021 Lanier

Campbell definitely has the size, and academics to attract a lot of D1 programs. At 6’5″ and 295 lbs. he gets out his stance pretty quickly, and shows above average leg drive while engaged. Would like to see more physicality at the point of attack. Campbell has an athletic body type, keeps a pretty flat back while engaged – just want to see that added push on film that results in more pancakes. He does a lot of good things out there, sets up everything pretty well with his feet, and is good at sealing off the defender. Pass blocking looks solid, just needs to continue to quicken up his feet. He has a strong base and holds his ground well while engaged. Campbell holds two D1 offers from Stetson and Presbyterian, we think some additional high academics will jump in soon here, you would think potentially Ivy League schools. Definitely a prospect to watchout for at the start of the season.
