Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! As always, it’s your boy, Dave, bringing the latest recruiting news around the state.
Here we will tally up all of yesterday’s offers, commitments, three players heating up, and today’s sleeper pick, of course. I hope this feature can help serve college coaches around the country during these unprecedented times, but we also urge any school to contact us at recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com about our NCAA compliant database.
Outside of that, I hope everyone is doing well! We are making new profiles each day on the website, so check back each night on Twitter when we post them.

Three Heating Up
Evan Jackson
2021 Woodland Stockbridge
We wrote about Jackson earlier this month, and we will also have a story on him later today, but yesterday was a big enough offer explosion that we had to include him into this feature. Dartmouth, Rice, Youngstown State, Yale, Princeton and Air Force have all offered in the last two weeks. Jackson is a QB at Woodland Stockbridge, but figures to be recruited at athlete due to his exceptional speed. Definitely a 2021 target to monitor closely. Look out for our story later today.
Joshua Harris
2021 Newnan
Harris has certainly been blowing up here in the last week with D1 offers. The 6’2″ Harris sports a 3.9 GPA, and shows exceptional ball skills similar to his older brother who is now at GT. His most recent offers are from Furman, Western Michigan and Air Force, which adds to a nice stack of D1 offers that have been coming in since the beginning of April. There is little doubt that Harris has FBS caliber upside at receiver, just watching him attack the pass and go over the defensive back over and over again suggest that more FBS programs will be offering here shortly.
Lawson Chandler
2021 Bainbridge
At 6’4″ and 320 lbs. Chandler can certainly push a pile. He looks very agile getting to the 2nd level and has a nasty streak to him. Physical is not just an adjective that describes Chandler, but in fact, embodies the way he plays the game. Yesterday, Troy came in with an offer, which is his first FBS. He also has earned offers from Albany State and Gardner-Webb. His size and quickness will certainly continue to peak college interest here, so definitely watch out for Chandler landing additional D1 offers the rest of the summer.
Sleeper of the Day
Grady Bryan
2021 Grayson
Bryant is a pretty smart hybrid LB/SS who shows an impressive feel for the game. and a motor that is going to grab your attention. He does a great job of reading the play and knifing through the OL to make the stop. Shows excellent lateral quickness. Quick choppy feet closing on the ball carrier and drives his legs through the tackle. Relentless player, doesn’t seem to give up on a play. Ability to read the play is very impressive. I would like to see him more in pass coverage given his size, but cannot deny Bryant’s feel for the game. Tackling form is very good too, he does a nice job of settling into the attempt and gets nice and low wrapping up at the thighs. A few explosive tackles too. Bryant is a rock solid football player, easily the most consistent players on the Grayson defense, which explains how he broke the high school’s single season tackle record. Bryant holds a 3.97 GPA and has a 1180 SAT. He also plays baseball at Grayson. Mostly receiving lower division interest, but believe his pure football instincts deserves looks from DI and DII programs.
