Fields was a player that we scoped out last fall, but ended up losing track during the early part of the offseason. The 6’3″ wide receiver has a super long running stride and a pretty quick first step as well. I really like how hard he comes out of his breaks, and he shows nice acceleration on his release too. Fields hits his top speed very quickly, and his smooth running stride just blows by defenders. He does sometimes catch the football into his body. He doesn’t run a wide variety of routes, but does do it very well and shows nice quickness. Fields doesn’t have a ton of offers at this point, but consider the 2021 receivers one of the best kept secrets in the state at wide receiver. His explosive long running stride and excellent length + body control are just too tough to find, and should generate P5 interest at the end of the day.
