What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
On the field I’m a totally different animal. I play very aggressive and destroy any and everything on the field. I make other players better by the energy I bring to the game. Also I take school very seriously, I’m currently enrolled in dual enrollment attending a local college along with my high school courses. My Hope GPA is a 3.5 and I plan on graduating with a 4.0. I’m the definition of a student-athlete.
The 2020 athlete looks the part at 6’1″-6’2″ and excellent speed closing on the ball carrier. He’s in the backfield before you know – seriously a few of these plays you’ll have to rewind. Brooks-Aubert shows excellent speed, and is very aggressive getting off blocks and attacking the ball carrier. Does a good job of tackling at the waist, drops hips, but needs to keep his feet and drive his legs through contact. The 2020 LB is a great athlete though, his type of speed can have such an impact and can be utilized in various parts of the game. Very promising 2020 athlete with more work can thrive in pass coverage. Continuing to work on hip rotation and getting proper depth in pass coverage will help grab college coaches attention. Right now, the 2020 athlete is just looking to destroy, there needs to be more consistency next year, getting off your blocking an making a tackle needs to be showcases on film. Cannot deny his athletic upside, but things needs to slow down for the young OLB, and his production needs to go up.
