Jack Ferguson does a really impressive job of digesting the play quickly. He gets a really good jump on any play, and his overall field awareness is really good for a 2020 recruit. He’s going to be getting his chance for heavy reps this fall with the mass graduation of defensive backs at Lassiter, so expect the 2020 safety to have some tested film by season’s end. What I really like about Ferguson is the angles he takes and the explosiveness in which he tackles with. Detractors will talk about height and weight, but Ferguson will be able to prove them this wrong this fall. From everything I have heard, Ferguson is an extremely high character player. Moving forward, he needs to gain additional weight, and at the college level he should get up to be around 185-190. I like his skill set as a FS. Ferguson totaled 140 tackles during the year.
