Reclassification didn’t change over Telfair County too much here in 2020. They are still in Class A Public, but do have some new names in the region, most notable last year’s Class 2-A champions Dublin. Their head coach Matt Burleson has been at the helm for 9 years now. Last year they went 4-6, but move out of a tough region and in our opinion should be in good placement to make the playoffs here in 2020. There is a lot of upside to the 2020 squad here. They have very good size for a Class A school and several playmakers on both sides of the ball. Coach Burleson and his staff have stressed good weight lifting habits, but also in the classroom where a lot of the players sport GPA’s over a 3.5. There is a commitment to the program under Burleson, and this should be a breakout year for the program.
