Gilmer is now part of the newly aligned 3-A in Region 7. There is 8 teams in the region and should be tightly contested here in 2020. Their head coach Kevin Saunders is a very good coach here in the state, and always builds up every program we have seen him in involved with. Gilmer went 4-6 last year, which probably surprised some around the state. Most notably, they got better each week, and really started to his stride in October where they competitive in every game against teams that have traditionally had their way with the Bobcats. With more talent returning, and another year of running their spread option based system, we expect Gilmer to continue to surprise especially now that they are down a region in 3-A.
