Stanley is a downhill hole plugging box middle linebacker. He has added on another 15 pounds this last year and continues to make progress in the weight room. Stanley has good reactions, and takes very good pursuit angles on the ball carrier. This season Stanley has also played h-back on the offensive side for the first time varsity play, and colleges have shown interest in his abilities there too. He is a fundamental tackler that hits the ball carrier square in the numbers and we expect colleges to show interest this summer at camps. This summer he played a lot of 7 v 7 and worked on his hip flexibility and playing out in space. He does a great job of playing strong with his hands, and can get off his blocks and out to the sideline a lot faster than years past. Region Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Metro, RG All-State and AJC All-State.
2017 STATS: 158 tackles, 88 solo and 41 tackles for loss
