Jayden Johnson
SR Stephenson
Running Back
Stephenson has a huge win beating Greater Atlanta Christian 38-35, and once again, the senior back Jayden Johnson made his mark on the game. Johnson broke his own school record, from earlier this season, when he also won player of the week, with an earth-shattering 421 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 38 carries. The Middle Tennessee commit continues to show each season; as we move along week-to-week, he gets stronger.
Nick Archer
SOPH Carrollton
Running Back
School records are meant to be broken, and sophomore running back Nick Archer found his opportunity in the starting lineup and made the most of it with a 325-yard rushing performance. That breaks the single-game record. His 4 touchdowns helped power a 62-24 victory over Douglas County, where the game was tight until the start of the 2nd half. Archer was a workhorse, going on 31 carries against a Douglas County defense that has plenty of P4 talent.
Mason Woods
SR Lowndes
Running Back
The senior keeps on chopping away with his best performance of the 2026 season in a 50-13 thumping of Camden County. Woods rushed for 315 yards and five touchdowns on 21 carries. Over the weekend, he took a visit to The Citadel. Look for more D1 programs to take an interest as Woods showcases a no-frills, highly productive running style that is unique in many ways.
Peyton Davis
JR LaGrange
Running Back
Davis had a mammoth game, rushing for 351 yards and 4 touchdowns on 28 carries in an upset 28-25 win over Central. Davis showed off his elite speed that has started to pique P4 interest, and won’t surprise me if the offers really start to roll in soon. Cincinnati and NC State offered in September. More will be on the way.
Montavious Jones
SR Mays
OLB
The Mays senior helped with a 9-0 shutout over Jackson-Atlanta with 16 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, and 3 sacks. Jones, a 5’11” 195 pounds, versatile defender, used his quickness to play off the edge and inside, where he shows great instincts reading the gaps and making solid tackles in the hole. Jones was relentless, producing one of the best defensive performances of Week 8. He looks to be pretty underrated at the moment too.
Jordan Wiggins
SOPH Northeast
Quarterback
The sophomore sensation created 8 touchdowns in a 42-0 shutout of Central-Macon. Wiggins completed 22 passes for 376 yards and 6 touchdowns, while rushing for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns. The reigning Region Player of the Year continues to show composure well beyond his years. Wiggins recently took a visit to Florida State on October 6th.
Curtis Hurt
SR B.E.S.T.
Athlete
BEST wins a crazy 36-20 game over Manchester where the senior athlete had a game for the ages. Hurt had a total of 20 tackles, 12 solo, 2 tackles for a loss, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception on defense, and then on offense, 97 total yards with a rushing and passing touchdown each. Absolutely insane game by BEST’s premier player. Another under-the-radar gem who stands 6’1″, weighs 175 lbs, and has a 3.2 GPA.
Weston Goodman
SR North Atlanta
Quarterback
Over the last two weeks, something has clicked at North Atlanta, and senior Weston Goodman is producing at a high level. In Week 8’s 35-30 win over Kenenesaw Mountain, Goodman had 301 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, and 88 rushing yards with one more score. Goodman is a true dual threat, ripping off 7.3 yards per carry. They move to 4-3 with a BYE this week and then a huge matchup against Hillgrove on the 23rd.
Julian Sease
SR Walnut Grove
Athlete
Walnut Grove’s Julian Sease was great in their 42-7 win over Cedar Shoals. The senior totaled 3 interceptions, a pass breakup, and a tackle for a loss, then flipped over to offense, where Sease rushed for 131 yards on 12 carries and 2 touchdowns. Sease is an integral player at Walnut Grove, playing everywhere on the field, and off the field, Sease is a strong student with a 3.96 GPA.
Peyton Chancey
SR Gilmer
Athlete
Gilmer’s Chancey rumbled away on 16 carries for 196 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 35-21 win over Dawson County. He even chipped in 11 tackles on defense. Chancey now has over 1027 yards on the season and 18 touchdowns. Chancey is a 6′ 200 lbs. three-sport star who broke a 67-yard long that can be seen below.
