Christion Peacock
Junior Walton
Quarterback
Walton continues to show why they’ll be a threat down the stretch of the 2026 season with a wild 56-42 win over Marietta. The offense was powered by junior QB Christion Peacock, who completed 15 of 25 for 183 yards and 1 TD, and then did incredible damage on the ground, rushing for 278 yards and 6 touchdowns. Peacock averaged 12.6 yards per carry. Earlier this season, we did a scouting report after the Walton vs. North Clayton game where we suggested Peacock’s running ability would be unleashed later in the season. The Week 7 matchup seems to be the beginning.
Braylon Miller
Senior Newton
Athlete
Newton’s Braylon Miller continues to have a great senior year, helping his team win 40-38 over Westlake. And while the late-game heroics by Hartsfield were great, Miller continues to prove why he is one of the best 2027 athletes in the state. He rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on four carries and had three receptions for 47 yards. Over the weekend, Miller received an offer from UGA.
Darience Coleman
Senior Heard Co.
Running Back
The Heard County senior was impressive in the 51-13 win over Darlington. Coleman rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries, while also catching a 32-yard touchdown pass. Giving the senior back over 208 yards and four touchdowns against a Darlington with solid talent across the board. Heard County continues to prove each week why they are the consensus #1 team in Class 2A.
Duke Collins
Junior Stephens Co.
Athlete
Duke Collins was phenomenal in Stephens County’s incredible 44-28 upset win over Hart County. Stephens County led 28-6 at one point in the first half, and rallied back to score 34 unanswered points to beat our previous #4 team in 3A. Collins had six receptions for 157 yards and two touchdowns, plus returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown and had a pass break-up. The interception gave Stephens County a 38-28 lead with just the 4th quarter remaining.
Kamarion Johnson
Senior Clinch Co.
Wide Receiver
The explosive athlete out of Clinch County showcases his All-State credentials in a 25-8 win over Irwin County. Johnson scored on an 87-yard reception, and then returned punts for 62 and 70 yards, plus intercepting a pass in the endzone. In a game of limited yards, Johnson did most of the offensive production to give Clinch their 5th consecutive win over Irwin County.
Jah’Barri Felix
Senior Bradwell Institute
Quarterback
Bradwell Institute’s fast-moving offense found itself in another shootout against a regional foe, this time against Brunswick in a 57-49 overtime win. Senior QB Jah’Barri Felix was incredible, throwing for 355 passing yards, four touchdowns, 123 rushing yards, and 3 more scores. On the night, Felix had 478 total yards. The victory broke a 6-game losing streak against Brunswick and continues to demonstrate why the Tigers have one of the best offenses in their classification. The senior QB’s ability to spread around and make action happen with his feet is a major reason why.
Jeremiah Frost
Senior Ringgold
Running Back
In a matchup of the undefeated teams, Ringgold was able to beat LaFayette 43-36, thanks in large part to senior back Jeremiah Frost rushing for 266 yards and 5 touchdowns on 34 carries. The powerful senior ran through arm tackles, getting every extra yardage after contact in the big win. Ringgold moves to 6-0 on the year and looks like a top 15 team in 3A at the moment. The senior back has been a problem for 3A defenses this season
Cooper Middleton
Senior Christian Heritage
Linebacker
The All-State tackling machine was all over the field with 15 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, and a forced fumble in a 35-31 win over Gordon Lee. Middleton had 13 solo tackles. The senior backer hustles his tail off on each play. Last season, he made a top play of the week where he partially blocked a punt, then hustled downfield and recovered the football, returning it for a score. A great example of Middleton’s great football IQ, although his film stuffing Gordon Lee’s rushing attack is self-evident.
Nigel Gardner
Senior Brunswick
Running Back
Brunswick’s SR back Nigel Gardner broke the school’s single-game rushing record with 362 yards and 3 touchdowns in a tough loss to the Brunswick. Gardner showed his elite track speed in the open field, breaking off several long runs. The 2027 back is committed to Miami of Ohio but is also receiving intriguing interest from Georgia State.
Rae’Shawn Clyde
Senior Randolph Clay
Quarterback
Clyde doubles up this week, making a top-10 play where he pushed the pile, then spun out of a pile for a 50-yard run. Now, Clyde is a top performer of Week 7, the 2nd week in a row. The senior had 242 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns and completed 9 passes for 127 yards in a 22-6 win over Miller County. Clyde’s great season has the Red Devils playing the best football we have seen in the 11 years covering GHSA football. They remain undefeated with a 6-0 record and are currently ranked #9 in our Class A rankings.
