Angel is a compact blocker who is active with his hands, getting underneath the pads of the defender and showing solid leverage while engaged. He is active, keeping his feet moving, showing good body control blocking in space. For a player his size, he will have to play IOL at the next level. Although he shows active hands, I’d like to see him work with his pad level, getting lower, firing out of his stance quicker. Getting quicker in his feet and just more explosive at the 2nd level. As of now, Angel has a solid technical foundation, solid fundamentals, even showing good, abrupt footwork in pass protection, although that film is limited. As of now, Angel is a run blocking OG who can pull, play in space and fill a role at the next level that should interest local programs, especially D2 for now. You’d like to see him potentially slide over to center at the next level, given his frame, so watch for an athletic jump at summer camps and game film for the 2026 season. You can tell he is well-trained.
