The North Cobb Christian linebacker has produced some big games this season. Martin has good anticipation and times his blitz into the gaps well. On top of having good acceleration, the senior can knife into the backfield and create a lot of negative plays. Martin does a nice job of keeping his pads parallel to the LOS. Generally good at tracking the football while showing solid agility in changing directions. The senior plays with good intensity, pursuing after the ball carrier. Doesn’t get stuck on blocks, but rather uses his agility to get around blockers. As a tackler, he does well meeting the ball carrier low and driving his legs. Keeping consistent with his strike level will be an area of focus at the next level. Martin has a solid frame at 6′ and 210 lbs., and with a reported 33″ vertical jump, the senior poses some good upside at the next level for local programs to jump on board. Martin has a 3.65 GPA too, and solid test scores, on top of being one of the most productive players in his region the last two seasons. Martin is also a big-time baseball player winning multiple state titles.
